Having problems with Hollyland Tally and your ATEM?

These are the situations MARTINI´s ATEM Hollyland Bridge was built to solve.

Multiple M/E

When working with Blackmagic ATEM systems featuring multiple M/E buses, tally handling can become more complicated. MARTINI´s ATEM Hollyland Bridge is designed to handle these more advanced setups – just select the active M/E bank.

Fades & transitions

Does your Hollyland Tally work fine on a CUT, but behave inconsistently during fades or other transitions? The Bridge reads the ATEM´s live Program/Preview state continuously, so transitions are reflected correctly, not just hard cuts.

PROGRAM & PREVIEW

Reliable PROGRAM and PREVIEW information is essential for camera operators. The Bridge forwards the relevant tally information from the ATEM to the Hollyland Wireless Tally System in real time.

Complex ATEM setups

A direct ATEM/Hollyland pairing may not cover every requirement of a more advanced production. The Bridge adds configurable routing, offsets and remote control between the two systems.

One Bridge. ATEM to Hollyland.

The Bridge sits between your Blackmagic ATEM and your Hollyland Wireless Tally System – no extra hardware, running on a computer on your production network.

Camera / Camera Operator

The Bridge connects to your Blackmagic ATEM, reads its Program/Preview tally information in real time, and forwards it in a format the Hollyland system understands – for every M/E, on every cut, fade or transition.

Production statistics, saved as PDF

Know exactly how much airtime each camera got – and keep a record of it.

Live airtime & cuts per camera

While the Bridge is running, it continuously tracks how long each camera was on Program (airtime) and how often it was cut to, shown as live, updating charts inside the app.

One-click PDF export

A single button saves the current production statistics as a PDF report directly to your Downloads folder – useful for post-show documentation or handing statistics to a producer or client.

Trigger it remotely

The same export can be triggered from outside the app with a single UDP command (savestats), so a show-control system can save a statistics snapshot at any point during the show.

Green-screen overlay

A dedicated statistics window with a green-screen background can be keyed into a video mixer, showing the same live statistics on air or on a production monitor.

Chroma-key ready statistics graphics

Two separate output windows render on a pure green background, ready to be keyed straight into your video mixer.

Statistics ticker overlay

A scrolling text banner showing live airtime and cuts per camera as percentages, on a solid green background – key it via chroma key onto a program monitor, rehearsal feed or on-air graphic.

Configurable ticker

Font size, scroll speed and screen position (top, middle or bottom) can all be adjusted from the app, and changes are picked up by an already-open overlay window automatically.

Statistics window

A second, separate green-background window shows the same airtime and cuts statistics as pie charts – also chroma-key ready, for a more detailed on-screen breakdown.

Size and corner placement

Choose a size (small/medium/large) and which corner of the screen the statistics window sits in, so it fits cleanly into an existing keyed layout.

Network control: UDP and Stream Deck

Every important action in the Bridge is also available as a simple network command – so it can be triggered from outside the app.

Plain-text UDP commands

The Bridge listens for simple UDP text commands on the network, for example me=2 to switch the active M/E, red=5 or green=5 to set a manual tally, flash/flashgreen to flash the current tally, off / auto to leave or return to ATEM mode, and start / stop to control the Bridge itself.

Works with Stream Deck

Because these are standard UDP commands, they can be triggered from any tool that can send UDP packets – including an Elgato Stream Deck configured with a UDP-sending action/plugin, giving you one-button control over M/E switching, manual tally or flashing directly from your Stream Deck.

Fits into existing show control

The same commands can be sent from browser-based show-control panels, lighting/video control systems, or custom scripts – the Bridge does not need to be the only thing operating it during a live show.

Configurable network access

You decide whether commands are only accepted from the same computer (127.0.0.1) or from any device on the network (0.0.0.0), and on which port.

Manual tally control – even without an ATEM

The Bridge doesn't strictly require a live ATEM connection to control tally.

Switch tally directly from the app

Enter a camera number and set it to red (Program) or green (Preview) tally directly from the app's own interface – no ATEM signal required for this.

Flash tally for a quick check

Flash the currently active red or green tally a few times to visually confirm a camera is receiving the correct signal – handy during setup and rehearsals.

Turn ATEM off completely

ATEM support can be switched off entirely in the settings. The Bridge then runs purely in manual mode, so you can use the Hollyland connection without any ATEM present.

Switch back to ATEM anytime

A single action returns control to the live ATEM Program/Preview signal, so you can move between manual and automatic ATEM-driven tally as your production needs change.

Designed for advanced Blackmagic ATEM workflows

The MARTINI´s ATEM Hollyland Bridge is designed for Blackmagic ATEM workflows where reliable tally information is required, including setups with multiple M/E buses.

Tested and used with the Blackmagic ATEM Constellation 8K as a concrete example of a multi-M/E system. The underlying ATEM protocol support is not limited to a single model – other Blackmagic ATEM switchers with multiple M/E buses are within the intended scope of the Bridge. If you are unsure whether your specific ATEM model is supported, try the free demo mode first or get in touch before buying a license.

Frequently asked questions

Does Hollyland Tally work with Blackmagic ATEM?

Yes. MARTINI´s ATEM Hollyland Bridge connects a Blackmagic ATEM switcher to the Hollyland Wireless Tally System, reading Program/Preview tally information from the ATEM in real time and forwarding it to the Hollyland receivers.

How do I connect Hollyland Wireless Tally to Blackmagic ATEM?

Install the Bridge on a computer connected to the same network as both the ATEM and the Hollyland transmitter/receivers, enter the ATEM and Hollyland network settings in the app, then start the bridge. No additional hardware is required.

Why does Hollyland Tally work with CUT but not with fades?

The Bridge continuously reads the ATEM´s live Program/Preview state directly from the switcher, rather than only reacting to hard-cut events – so the correct camera is shown as on-air throughout a fade or transition, not just after a cut.

Does the Bridge support multiple M/Es?

Yes. You can select which M/E bank (M/E 1–4) is sent to the Hollyland system, either from the app or via a network (UDP) command.

Does it work with ATEM systems with multiple M/Es?

Yes, the Bridge is designed for Blackmagic ATEM systems with multiple M/E buses, not just single-M/E switchers.

Does it work with the ATEM Constellation 8K?

Yes, the ATEM Constellation 8K is used and tested as one concrete example of a multi-M/E ATEM system. Other Blackmagic ATEM switchers with multiple M/E buses are also within the intended scope of the Bridge.

Does the Bridge support PROGRAM and PREVIEW?

Yes, both Program (red) and Preview (green) tally are supported. Sending Preview tally can be turned on or off in the settings.

Do I need additional hardware?

No. You only need a computer on the same network as your Blackmagic ATEM and your Hollyland Wireless Tally System to run the Bridge.

Is there a demo version?

Yes. The app includes a free 30-minute demo mode, available once per day, so you can test it before purchasing a license.

Does it support Stream Deck?

The Bridge can be controlled over the network using simple UDP text commands (M/E switching, manual tally, start/stop and more). This means it can be triggered from external show-control tools, including Stream Deck setups that can send UDP commands.

What additional features does the Bridge provide?

Beyond tally forwarding, the Bridge offers live production statistics (airtime and cuts per camera) with PDF export, a green-screen statistics overlay for broadcast graphics, manual tally control that also works without an ATEM connected, and a multilingual interface.
